Butyl Cellosolve acetate belongs to the family acetate of 2-butoxyethanol. It is extensively used across varied industries due to the favorable properties listed below

Butyl Cellosolve acetate is used as waterborne latex coatings in coating industries, as dye solvent in textile, leather and printing industries, in specialty solvent formulations , in industrial cleaning solvents to remove grease and grim and as solvent in insecticides & herbicides for agricultural application. Specialty printing inks use Butyl Cellosolve acetate for slow evaporation, aqueous systems use it as freeze-thaw agent, Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) and are cosolvents for waterborne industrial coating systems. In addition to these uses they also serve as coupling solvents for hard-surface cleaners and soap-hydrocarbon systems, chemical reaction solvents and cosolvents for conventional lacquer, enamel and stains for industrial coating systems.
